Invitation to Children Art Competition and Discussion Meeting on the occasion of the 28th death anniversary of M N Larma in Rangamati

Greetings!

M N Larma Memorial Foundation and CHT chapter of Bangladesh Adivasi Forum are going to organise Children Art Competition and Discussion Meeting at Shilpakala Academy of Rajbari area in Rangamati on the occasion of the 28th death anniversary of Manabendra Narayan Larma, pioneer of national awakening of indigenous Jumma peoples in CHT. Children Art Competition will be held on 9 November 2011 at 3.00 pm while Discussion Meeting will be started at 3.00 pm on 10 November 2011 at Shilpakala Academy in Rangamati.

Chakma Circle Chief Raja Devasish Roy and President of PCJSS Mr. Jyotirindra Bodhipriya Larma have given their kind consent to be present in the discussion meeting as Chief Guest and Main Discussant respectively. Convenor of M N Larma Memorial Foundation Mr. Bijoy Keton Chakma will preside over the discussion meeting.

Former chairman of Rangamati HDC Dr. Manik Lal Dewan, president of Movement for the Protection of Land Rights and Forest Mr. Goutam Dewan, former head teacher of Moanoghar Residential School Ms. Latika Talukdar, district correspondent of daily Prothom Alo Mr. Hari Kishore Chakma and Coordinator of BLAST Rangamati unit Advocate Juyel Dewa will speak in the discussion. Member-secretary of M N Larma Memorial Foundation Mr. Mangal Kumar Chakma will deliver a memorial lecture on the life and struggle of Manabendra Narayan Larma.
