2nd Issue of Jatiyo Daak
Note from the Editor of "Jatiyo Daak":
This issue contains an article on page 4 which seeks to analyse the
recent meeting in Khagrachari of the CHT Accord Implementation
Committee and concludes that the meeting and the near-simultaneous
hearing by the Land Commission, choreographed by people behind the
scene, are all part of a blueprint to pacify the anger of the people
over continuous land grabbing. It also says that no substantial
discussions took place in the meeting, as most of the time had to be
spent on the issue of the hearing, which was a nothing but a red
herring designed by the behind-the-scene people.
The issue (on pages 8 and 6) gives a full coverage of the national
convention against repression on national minorities in Chittagong
Hill Tracts held on 29 November 2010 in Dhaka.
