Army detains PCP leader in Naniachar

MEMBERS of the Bangladesh Army have detained Bilash Chakma, president
of Rangamati Unit of the Hill Student’s Council (PCP), in Naniachar,
PCP sources has said.
The PCP leader was arrested from T & T bazaar at 9am today, Saturday (5 March 2011).
“At first, Mr Shahed, NCO of Naniachar zone, told Bilash that he had
something to discuss with him and took him to a place nearby. Then a
group of army men came in a pick up van and detained him.” said
Binoyon Chakma, another PCP leader in Naniachar.
He said Bilash, also a candidate for HSC exams from Naniachar College,
has been kept at the canteen of Naniachar zone.
Bilash Chakma was first arrested on 23 August 2010 while attending a
UPDF rally in Naniachar.
However, he was released on bail a few days later.
